Mount Gravatt State School has a dedicated group of parents involved in the Parents and Citizens Association.
The Mount Gravatt State School P&C meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6pm in the school Library meeting room.
Everyone is welcome to come along and play a part in making the school a better place, please complete the Membership Form to join.
The Mount Gravatt State School P&C also runs our tuckshop and uniform shop.

What is a P&C?
Mount Gravatt State School has a parent representative body, commonly called Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association. The Association is the voice of the school community. We work in partnership with the school Principal to promote the interests of the school and improve facilities and opportunities for our students. The P&C is made up of volunteer parents, carers and teachers who want to contribute to the continual improvement of the school.
What we do!
Each year our P&C supports the school by providing funds when requested for educational activities, facilities and resources. equipment and purchasing. Our P&C runs the uniform shop, manages ice block sales and meal deals that are offered several times a year. We also host the Mother's and Father's Day stalls and actively volunteer with the Bunnings BBQ supporting the local Lions & Rotary Clubs'.
Recent Achievments:
- Purchased big fan in hall
- Contributed to air conditioning classrooms
- Installation of equipment in Junior playground
- Contribute to trophies for award ceremonies
- Hosted the school's 150th celebration in 2024
- Painting of pickleball lines on basketball courts (2024)
- Supporting the year 6 seniors' shirts (2024 - ongoing)
- Purchase of school representative shirts (2024)
- Purchase of school touch shirts (2025)
- Purchase of house flags for events (2025)
- Donation for purchase of iPad supporting one to one program in years 3 & 4 (2025 & 2026)
- Contributing to the purchase of sporting equipment via The Athletes Foot program
- Recycling through the Containers for Change initiative.
- Growth Chart installation.
- Contribute to educational supplies as needed and more.
- Donation to school to provide incursion and excursion opportunities for all students.
- Donation to school to purchase Perceptual Motor skills equipment.

- The Athletes Foot program – Mount Gravatt store. Mention our school at the check out when purchasing any shoes and $5 will be donated to our school to purchase equipment.
